You're both right though -- Christmas is about spending time with those close to you, giving, thinking about those less fortunate than yourself, doing good deeds for people AND getting smashingly blind drunk with your friends afterwards. Because you need something to fight off the cold, and nothing helps more than a nice bottle of scotch.
