The lead singer is Sharlene Hector - she has also sung with David Grant in United Colours of Sound, Reel People and many sessions. She was also the singer in the Coca-Cola advert, singing the Nina Simone cover - "I wish".

i Love this song it is hecka tite. martina did a wonderful job. and so does vula and the other chick ( sum one pleeze tell me her name) but overall on the live version these females rocked it . specially the lead girl she was sangin. also watch the one they performed in cologne (she was rele sangin!!)lol aite peeece

The singer on the original vid with the cossack dancers is a Canadian called Martina Sorbara (credited as Martina Bang for some reason by Jaxx) and she sings with a band called Dragonette - check them out on youtube - the excellent "I get around" has top lyrics.

I think this version is marvelous! Even though they lack the hot appearance of the original clip singer, I still give them credit for the great singing and performance! Also, I discovered that the guitar in this version is more clear, which makes the song somewhat better! The guitarist did an awesome job!
For anyone else who dislikes the singing of these two, I'd like to see you try! So how about keeping your mouth shut and just enjoy the marvelous music
