Powerful electromagnets consist of many turns of wire. Current must be driven through the coil to produce the magnetic field. While I do not have a nail inside my electromagnet, I have hanged a permanent magnet on top. The result is a simple electric motor, but with many turns, and less current draw, for the same magnetic thrust. __________________________________________________

crippled82  2008-03-15 13:12:25 what you can try is: fully recharge 1 input battery, so you know how much Ah you've got. Then weigh the rotor and measure the rpm and figure out the friction so you can calculate it's kindetic energy. Measure time and run till battery (or precharged cap) is empty. Then compare to see if overunity occured. just a thought. :-) __________________________________________________
