Snorkle Six Feet Under

Tags: redneck punk dogs revenge Description: First film I made for the IFCKC's One Night Stand film festival back in 2002. www.ifckc.org In a nutshell this unique festival requires filmmakers to show up at the crack of dawn on a Saturday morning at the usual IFC meeting place where in a random theme and a prop are drawn from a hat. This year the theme was 'revenge' and the prop was a 'baseball bat'. Filmmakers then go out and have 10 hours to write, shoot and edit their short films incorporating the required items and then get them back before the deadline. Unfortunately for this film the only two actors available were my long time filmmaking compadre Doug and myself. Doug had to babysit his parents dog "Snorkle" on this particular day and so I came up with the idea of using Snorkle and another dog, Franny, in the film. The dogs did great, Doug did great. Me well I really need to stay behind the camera. I have really long hair in this and look absolutely ridiculous. Again the whole thing was made up as I filmed and given the circumstances and difficulty with starring in and directing a movie with absolutely no crew other than myself it came out fairly decent less some rough editing, sound and poorly framed shots.
