For all the latest buzz about MaxedOut, bookmark: http://www.MaxedOutBuzz.com/ Maxed Out's James Scurlock and Elizabeth Warren on NightLine. Uninteresting Maxed Out Trivia. The house they referred to as "Janne O'Donnel's House" is actually Mark W. Mumma's house. Alexis Spraic, the editor of Maxed Out, didn't have an exterior shot of Janne's house so she used Mark's instead. While Janne has never been to Mark's house, the Mumma's have invited Janne and John to come up to OKC and enjoy some crab legs and grilled shrimp at their earliest convenience. Janne and Hubby actually live in Norman, OK, not Oklahoma City, OK. Who knows, maybe Janne and John will fall in love with the place so Mark and Rita can sell it to them and pay their attorney fees from the lawsuit which is one of the topics in Mark's first feature documentary, SLAPP SUIT http://www.SLAPPSUIT.com/ Here's what TrueWorks, the creators of MaxedOut thought about the SLAPP SUIT trailer: "Looks like a very clever film." Alexis Spraic "Brilliant! (--and i'm not prone to hyperbole)" James Scurlock Coming soon to screens everywhere... |

Leslinka ::: Favorites I was totally educated I just missed a payment and bam late fee, bam over limit fee, bam over limit fee again and it spirals out of control. The whole one strike and your out philisophy is too harsh, bad things can happen to even the most educated person. I am totally out of it now and I will never utilize Capital One again. They are verbally abusive and threatening. 07-04-25 10:42:17 _____________________________________________________
Nu7bsRD9 ::: Favorites "Where is the government in all this?" They're SPENDING money they DON'T HAVE that they get from the FED and guarentee it with OUR taxes! Cool 'eh? 07-05-17 16:40:08 _____________________________________________________
emerson134 ::: Favorites People ask yourself why there must be so much debt...Overconsumption?...Yes, but that is due to the fact that the entire financial system inherently does not promote savings...Look at the unconstitutional income tax system (notice the preference to debt over savings), the failure to have a currency in specie (promotes debt vs. savings) and the asset inflation in stocks, real estate..etc.(promotes speculation over sound money management)..Thing 14th Century Venice.. 07-06-03 00:15:34 _____________________________________________________
HighwayCinema ::: Favorites On a college campus one there was a guy signing students up for credit cards. The freebie for applying: a t-shirt with hip graphics & the Visa logo. One selling point: students can use a credit card in new vending machines. He told me that "even economics & math majors never do the math, they all buy into the credit trap. A college kid, hungry for a 50-cent candy bar. Using a credit card, he buys a $1 candy bar from a machine. By the time he pays off the candy bar it will cost him $2." 07-06-08 07:00:37 _____________________________________________________
FranciscoCojuanco ::: Favorites "Where's the government in all this?" Seriously, it makes me sick. What happened to people weighing the risks of credit card debt? What happened to people making decisions and accepting the consequences, instead of turning to the government like some goddamn big nanny? Do those people with monstrous debt need help? Of course? Are they falling into the trap of the credit card companies? Yes. But the solution is to educate ourselves - most of all the children - on how to be a smart consumer. 07-06-16 19:26:48 _____________________________________________________
asiantiger01 ::: Favorites The government is responsible to protect the rights of the people, and warn against predatory lending. 07-06-19 18:01:01 _____________________________________________________
prezmonk ::: Favorites The government is owned by the bankers. Elections are a charade to make the herd believe they live in a democracy. They don't. The events of the last six years have proved that to me beyond the shadow of a doubt. 07-06-20 18:02:51 _____________________________________________________
xXxSashimiMorikuxXx ::: Favorites It's truly amazing how much just $1000 in the bank can do for you when an emergency arises. A little discipline in your spending can give you a nice cushion that doesn't cost you 20% interest. 07-06-24 08:21:18 _____________________________________________________
rofthorax ::: Favorites Time to get rid of dreams of owning a HDTV and Hummer.. Unless you are a millionaire.. Of course, you will spend eternity in hell if you think this is the life. 07-06-25 00:51:21 _____________________________________________________
asiantiger01 ::: Favorites True that. That's why they turn a blind eye on predatory lending practices. 07-06-26 22:21:30 _____________________________________________________ |
