JaboCelt ::: Favorites I am a much bigger fan of Hitchens and "God is not great". It could just be that Hitchens is a great writer and is constantly interesting to the point where I cannot get enough of the Hitch. Dawkins is good too and the God Delusion sums up the stance of modern atheism quite well but it too comes of short of Hitchens because literature is his bread and butter, whereas Dawkins and Harris come from more methodical scientific backgrounds. 07-08-06 03:38:58 __________________________________________________
cherokeenation ::: Favorites I read his book. I found it containing accurate, (albeit obvious) points. I did not learn anything new from it, nor was I inspired by it in any way. Just another opinion based work. He is educated, to be sure, but I am not sure about being a legend. Informed, educated minds will see through those techniques. His new found fame is not being handled as well as I formerly thought. (An understandable situation). Get grounded Sam! SIP100 ::: Favorites It's like I said the only difference between the religious and atheist at the end of the day is the want for solace vs. the want for truth. BTW Atheism despite pop. belief -can't- be a religion its a simple stating that one doesn't believe in gods, or god.
