Description: Another example of the similarity of prophets in Islam and Judaism (and Christianity by default). Surah 27 deals with David and then Solomon and how he hears of the Queen of Sheba and her people. The chanting is rather pretty and the sheer size of the ummah (gathered worshippers of the community) impressive. Things to realize: The chanting tone is constant, and it is being recited from memory, without the aid of a book.

In Islam we fully realize that Solomon, May peace be upon him and his father, are both from amongst the Children of Israel. This understanding is very clear and adamant throughout all authentic Islamic texts.
