Description:

Another example of the similarity of prophets in Islam and Judaism (and Christianity by default). Surah 27 deals with David and then Solomon and how he hears of the Queen of Sheba and her people. The chanting is rather pretty and the sheer size of the ummah (gathered worshippers of the community) impressive. Things to realize: The chanting tone is constant, and it is being recited from memory, without the aid of a book.

Solomon's wisdon is a beast in the field unto the Wisdom of God. They who seek not God are as the beast in the field. If i be in the highest gold palace on the earth and know my people's pains and sit with a high a look and plough the wicked, then am i free off sin ?

God is the All-Wise, but He has given some wisdom to some of His creation. In the same way that God is the Most Merciful, He has given the capability to have mercy on others to some of His creation. God's Wisdom and Mercy is not limited while the wisdom and mercy found within the creation is limited. Look up Tawheed al-Asmaa was-Sifaat for further details.

By your statement I can see you have never read the Qur'an in its entirety. In Islam we fully realize that Solomon, May peace be upon him and his father, are both from amongst the Children of Israel. This understanding is very clear and adamant throughout all authentic Islamic texts. You should try reading the entire Quran with an open mind and heart; I guarantee you would be pleased with what you find.

hint at it, yes. its probably not emphasised enough. Still I'm trying to keep this page clean of ugly political debate and just have it to appreciate the chanting and subject matter(being Religion in general)

the sad thing is that Muslims tend to deny Solomon's Jewishness. They tend to teach children that the Jewish patriarchs/prophets/kings are Arab

***Just so the Muslims who view this video know, at 1:23 of the video (ayah # 26) if you here or read the ayah, you must prostrate (make sujood). In your prostration say, "Sajada wajhiya lilladhi khalaqahu wa sawwarahu wa shaqqa sam'ahu wa basarahu, tabarak-Allaahu Ahsan-ul-Khaliqeen" My face fell prostrate before He Who created it and brought forth its faculties of hearing and seeing, Blessed is Allaah, the Best of Creators. (Sahih Muslim, Vol. 4 Hadith No. 201)
