Description:

Some of the breathtaking batting records are with this Master Blaster from Matara. He holds the record for the fastest fifty in One Day Internationals, a pulverizing half century coming in just 16 balls off a Pakistani attack at Padang, Singapore. He also held the record for the fastest hundred in ODIs which was broken by another bludgeoning batsman Shahid Afridi. Jayasuriya also holds the records for the most number of sixes in ODI cricket and the Fastest 50 in 20 Twenty cricket.

My opinion is this: Afridi is the biggest smasher/slogger of deliveries, Jayasuria is probably the best slash-cutter who can lift the ball into the stands better than anyone else, and Gilchrist is the cleanest striker of the ball in any direction in world cricket. On a good day, all of these players can time it brilliantly. I just wish I could too!

Sanath is the man who revolutionized the game in 1996. He will go down in history for that -- he changed the way people start the innings with over-the-top hitting. Records always come and go, but Jayasuriya is in a different class.

m8s, there are no ways of comparing jayasuriya's batting ability with afridi, bcoz only six's makes afridi get near jayasuriya. Which is very small percentage of jayasuriya's career. Jayasuriya is superior in all forms of the game, afridi cant even touch jayasuriya's ability. When jayasuriya get 50 we know SL will win the match but with Afridi u wont say that. No point arguing m8, it's jus a waste of time. Jayasuriya is way ahead of afridi from almost every part of the game.

Actually sanath holds the record for the most sixes currently. I have no doubt in afridi's ability but all of sanath's test knocks have come with an almost 90 strike rate. He is the master blaster in all forms of the game.

Wasn't that against uganda? Does afridi have a double century in tests? Sanath has two and a triple century. Been doing it since 1989.

Sanat is a good batsman... But the Real Master of Blaster is Afridi... Just last week broke the fastest 50 in record in 20/20 hitting 50 for just 15 balls... 7 sixes and 4 fours... Match that.. Khanz rule

Sanath is the best by miles, you have to understand one thing he created the modern one day opening batsman he was the first to introduce pinch hitting at the start of an innings now everyone has taken on this style,
