thekrutch434 ::: Favorites The city of Liverpool is exactly like PNG 07-06-21 12:17:33 __________________________________________________
lorettab77 ::: Favorites before the european (and missionaries) the women too walked naked with just a waist bracelet or decoration. The grass skirts were as a result of Euro influences. Somehow the men escaped this brainwashing. 07-05-01 20:34:49 __________________________________________________
crownfuckingfool ::: Favorites The real issue and the reason for this little piece is that West Papua is suffering under Indonesian occupation, this clip and Wokabaut WP 2 are designed to spark the interest of the great majority of people around the world who know nothing of this unfolding tragedy. -little steps - big journey. 07-04-13 09:45:57 __________________________________________________
okumalanehamai ::: Favorites yes, the behaviour of Indonesia in west papua is truely appaling,I suppose that anything that helps to increase awareness of the problems over there must be a good thing. Until more people sit up and take notice, this issue will not get on to the political agendas of western politicians 07-04-30 06:46:57 __________________________________________________
HryMuscle ::: Favorites Would have been great if you had gone to some of the villages that had been bombed by the Indonesians and talked to some of the older people there... the ones that remember having their villages destroyed in retaliation for being to closely aligned to OPM. Yep, I reckon those are the folks you really want to talk to. 07-05-30 02:34:38 __________________________________________________
okumalanehamai ::: Favorites If he thinks that the has been 'accepted' in any way then he is greatly mistaken.pretty meaningless. i just wish that people who claim to care dearly about indigenous people would realise that this kind of 'cultural tourism' offers nothing positive for indigenous people, instead acting to pressure them into a western style cash driven way of life 07-04-11 15:52:43 __________________________________________________
crownfuckingfool ::: Favorites You're mistaken, cultural tourism is an important cultural and economic activity of many indigenous communities. The fact that I got my kit off and had a great time with these people doesn't detract from their legitimate cultural tourism business. As far as my being 'accepted' or not, we shared a common language and parted company as friends - not a bad afternoons work and not to be sneered at. 07-04-13 09:42:58 __________________________________________________
okumalanehamai ::: Favorites I didn't like it! I don't like the very concept of 'cultural' tourism, and don't understand why white people are so obsessed with traveling 'off the beaten path'. I've lost count of the numbe rof times I've had to endure listening to a white backpacker telling me that they were the 'first white people' to go to an area. 07-04-11 15:36:07 __________________________________________________
auspete ::: Favorites Brilliantly and bravely done. Great use of humour. Excellent also that YouTube management saw the cultural importance of this video and flagged it rather than banning it. 07-03-31 20:12:46 __________________________________________________
canada647 ::: Favorites Impressive! I'm pleased that the 'honoured guest (white visitor)' complied with the tribe's request. That gourd item is called, I think...a koteka or similar sounding name; which of course is worn by the men over their penis. Overall, very respectful. Well done! 07-01-22 10:04:00 __________________________________________________ |
