Description: with this version, compared to 2.0, we actually moved the center of gravity nearer to the front of the fuselage (using a mass in front) and added our engine-ejection system, which was supposed to jettison the engine when the reverse burn (whatever it's called) usually pops out the parachute. unfortunately, after investigation after the crash, we found out that the adhesive that kept the nose-cone on didn't stick, and the engine tried to force its way up the engine housing, burning up the housing as it proceeded, and that's the reason it quickly descended (and you can actually see the nose-cone come off almost immediately after ignition; the engine had about 1/8" left before it would've completely escaped the housing). |
