francotenelli ::: Favorites Thank you very much for the comment. Clown costume is in the next scene, here Canio is just getting ready for his performance.Sometimes in opera-movies Canio sings this famous aria already dressed up as a clown but this is wrong. This scene occures when he discovers that Nedda, his wife, is being unfaithful to him and he has to perform right after his discovery. 07-08-21 11:13:26 _____________________________________________________ | |

wachtelms ::: Favorites If you are the same Mr. Tenelli, you are absolutely brilliant. You are doing a great service for all by posting all these magnificent operatic fragments. It might interest you to know that there is rather large evidence that Mr. Leoncavallo stole the plot from another author. It seems they could not find the real case, and the other author was pressing for damages in a court of law. If so, the first aria of the opera is the biggest lie ever put on the stage. 07-08-18 23:04:12 _____________________________________________________ |
